How this calculator works
For Tax Year 2026-27, qualifying PAN-based payments by an Individual/HUF to contractors or professionals are reported through Form 141 Schedule C under section 393(1) of the Income-tax Act, 2025. The applicable rate is deliberately editable because the official Form 141 FAQ says there is no single prescribed rate for Form 141; it depends on the nature of payment and other facts.
2026 reporting note
Form 141 is the consolidated challan-cum-statement introduced under the Income-tax Act, 2025 for specified PAN-based TDS transactions. It replaces the earlier separate 26QB, 26QC, 26QD and 26QE workflow for transactions in the new tax-year framework. Older-year payments can still follow the earlier forms where the portal specifies them.
