How this calculator works

For Tax Year 2026-27, PAN-based TDS on rent by an Individual/HUF is reported through Form 141 Schedule A under section 393(1). This calculator mirrors the Form 141 share-based amount concept and leaves the applicable rate editable because the official Form 141 guidance states that there is no single rate for all schedules and the rate can depend on the transaction, PAN status and a lower/nil deduction certificate.

2026 reporting note

Form 141 is the consolidated challan-cum-statement introduced under the Income-tax Act, 2025 for specified PAN-based TDS transactions. It replaces the earlier separate 26QB, 26QC, 26QD and 26QE workflow for transactions in the new tax-year framework. Older-year payments can still follow the earlier forms where the portal specifies them.
