What this calculator includes
Includes federal withholding, employee Social Security and Medicare, an annualized California income-tax estimate, and California SDI at 1.3% of wages for 2026. California PIT payroll withholding can differ because the official DE 4 and Method A/Method B schedules use withholding allowances and other payroll details.
Important methodology note
Federal withholding is estimated with the 2026 IRS automated payroll percentage-method framework for a basic 2020-or-later Form W-4. State amounts are clearly identified as state-specific estimates; this tool is not a substitute for an employer payroll system or tax return.
