How this calculator works

Section 80EEA can allow an eligible old-regime deduction up to ₹1.5 lakh for qualifying first-home loan interest where the loan was sanctioned from 1 April 2019 through 31 March 2022. It cannot be claimed together with Section 80EE, and official guidance says Section 24(b) limit should be exhausted first.

Important eligibility note

This tool calculates the numerical cap only after you enter an amount you believe is eligible. It does not automatically prove loan dates, property/vehicle conditions, residency, authorship, patent ownership, certificates, filing deadlines or tax-regime eligibility.
